Wakapdf provides online PDF conversion, editing, compression, merging, splitting, unlocking, signing, watermarking, OCR, and related document-processing tools as a free and premium web-based service (the “Service”).

Please read this disclaimer carefully before using Wakapdf.

1. No Professional Advice

The tools and information available on Wakapdf are provided for general convenience and productivity purposes only. They do not constitute legal, financial, tax, medical, accounting, engineering, architectural, or any other form of professional advice.

You should not rely on Wakapdf (or the output it produces) as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional in the relevant field. Always consult appropriate licensed professionals before making decisions that may have legal, financial, regulatory, safety, or compliance consequences.

2. Accuracy & Reliability Not Guaranteed

While we strive to provide accurate and reliable tools:

Results may vary depending on the original file quality, complexity, encryption level, font embedding, color profiles, scanned-image resolution, language, software that created the PDF, and many other factors.
OCR (text recognition from scanned documents) is probabilistic and not 100% accurate — especially with low-quality scans, handwriting, unusual fonts, complex layouts, or degraded documents.
Some advanced PDF features (e.g. certain annotations, form-field calculations, digital-signature validation chains, XFA forms, layered content, or proprietary extensions) may not be fully preserved or processed correctly.

We do not guarantee the correctness, completeness, integrity, or usability of any processed file. You use the Service at your own risk.

3. No Liability for Loss or Damage

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wakapdf, its developers, operators, affiliates, and hosting providers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages—including but not limited to:

loss of data, profit, goodwill, business opportunity, or anticipated savings
corruption, alteration, or unintended modification of files
business interruption
personal injury or property damage
legal, regulatory, or compliance penalties

arising from the use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

4. File Processing & Privacy Reminder

Files you upload are processed on our servers and are automatically deleted from our systems shortly after processing completes (usually within minutes to a few hours).
We do not permanently store, index, sell, or share your documents with third parties for marketing purposes.However:

temporary files exist in server memory/disk during processing
standard web-server access logs are kept for security and abuse prevention
if you choose cloud integrations (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.), those services’ own privacy policies apply

We strongly recommend not uploading files containing:

highly sensitive personal data (passport/ID numbers, full financial records, medical records, etc.)
trade secrets or confidential business information
classified, restricted, or export-controlled material

For maximum confidentiality, use offline/desktop PDF software instead.

5. Third-Party Services & Links

Wakapdf may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party APIs. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy practices, or availability of those external services.

6. Availability & Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service (free or paid) at any time, with or without notice. We are not obligated to support any specific file format, feature, or browser version indefinitely.

7. Governing Law

This disclaimer is governed by the laws of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. By using Wakapdf, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this disclaimer (together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy). If you do not agree with any part of this disclaimer, please do not use our Service.
