A. Information You Provide Directly

Email address (only if you create an account, subscribe to updates, or contact support)
Payment information (handled exclusively by our secure third-party payment processors — we never store full card details)
Any information you voluntarily send us via support tickets, feedback forms or emails

B. Files & Documents You Upload

We temporarily process the PDF and other files you upload to provide the Service (merge, compress, convert, sign, OCR, etc.).
Files are processed on our servers and automatically deleted within a short period after processing completes — typically within minutes, and never longer than a few hours.
We do not permanently store, archive, index, or keep copies of your uploaded files after processing.

C. Automatically Collected Information

Technical data: IP address, browser type & version, device type, operating system, language preference, referring URL
Usage data: which tools/features you use, timestamps, approximate geographic location (derived from IP), pages visited
Cookies and similar technologies: session cookies, analytics cookies (see Cookies section below)

D. We Never Collect

The actual content of your documents beyond what is strictly necessary for temporary processing
Sensitive personal data unless you deliberately upload it (and even then, it is not stored after processing)
Audio, video, or webcam data

2. How We Use Your InformationWe use the collected information only to:

Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
Process your PDF files as requested
Authenticate accounts and prevent abuse/fraud
Communicate with you about your account, support requests, or important service updates (if you have opted in)

Sell your personal data or uploaded files to third parties
Use your files or content to train AI models

Uploaded files: deleted automatically shortly after processing (minutes to hours)
Account data: retained while your account is active + a reasonable period after closure (for legal/compliance reasons)
Logs & analytics: kept for up to 12–24 months in anonymized or pseudonymized form
Support correspondence: kept only as long as reasonably necessary

6. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location (especially under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.), you may have the right to:

Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your data/account
Restrict or object to processing
Data portability
Withdraw consent (where processing is consent-based)

7. International Data Transfers

Wakapdf operates globally. Data may be processed in countries outside your residence (including the EEA, UK, US, and others). We use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses where required) to protect cross-border transfers.

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure deletion practices, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
